It's the lack of tolerance, and getting divorced is considered a normal thing these days as a result of western culture's influence. Point to be noted is They choose the partners after filtering will hell a lot of criterion, so if still it ends in separation it means they marry on both some purpose other than choosing a soulmate. Individual character is to be revisited and assessed. And matrimonial sites have a separate section dedicated to divorcees, which means choosing another is still an option. Do they think our previous generations had so much luxury in doing all this. Basically, this shows the respect and trust they have in society.
Now it's not soo much difficult to get marry in India but you may say that it is a bit difficult.
Indian society is well known for its culture, values and all. So when we consider this things than getting married second time is something considered to be against the norms of the society. As a girl, you are always taught that you must adjust to the conditions in your husband's house. But nowadays scenario has changed little but not completely.
Indians would always worry about others more than themselves and would be very quick to comment on and talk about it.
So if you think that you get married second time and it will be all fine. Than have misconception because people would surely interfare in your matter and even advise you to do some thing so that your previous marriage may persist.
Treat your partner as a friend. Ensure that you have a friendship rather than a marriage. Be on back slapping terms, laugh together. We tend to treat husbands as God and wife as the maid. Don't do that.
If you have taken this decision and made this person a part of your life then honor it. Don't be so busy with your work that you forget you have some one waiting for you. Set limits for your work and time away from your spouse.
Never ever compare your old with the new. That is blasphemy! Never call your new by the old one's name! That will be torture!
